Up-Down Hoist generally refers to equipment used in industry for vertically conveying goods. It mainly includes two categories: **reciprocating hoists** and **continuous hoists**, enabling automatic up-and-down transfer of materials between different floors or heights.

So, do you know the selection points for up-down hoists?
1. Rated Load
Reserve 1.2–1.3 times the safety margin over the actual working load; do not run at full load for long periods; take the self-weight of pallets and fixtures into account. For heavy loads, prefer a **four-column frame**; for light loads in limited space, a two-column design can be used.
2. Lifting Height and Floors
Confirm the maximum lifting stroke; if multi-level stopping is required, verify the number of floors; confirm the inlet/outlet direction: Z-type, C-type and E-type entry/exit methods, to match the workshop logistics layout.
3. Drive Type Selection
- Chain drive: the most commonly used in industry, impact-resistant, for heavy loads; requires regular lubrication;
- Wire rope drive: low operating noise; pay attention to rope-break protection;
- Hydraulic type: high thrust; risk of oil leakage, slow speed, not suitable for high-speed automated production lines.
4. Cycle Rate and Speed
Reciprocating hoist speed is generally 5–60 m/min; it must match the cycle of the upstream and downstream conveyor lines to avoid line blockage; for high-frequency cycling conditions, the motor and chain configuration must be upgraded.
5. Platform Surface Docking
For docking with roller lines, equip the platform with powered rollers; for chain lines, equip a chain platform; for docking with AGVs, provide a positioning structure; verify the maximum length, width and height of the goods and reserve a safety clearance.
6. Safety Configuration Must Be Complete
Hard limit switches, chain-break protection, anti-fall safety gear, mechanical + electrical interlocks on floor doors, overload protection, emergency stop; safety configuration must not be cut down.
7. Electrical System and Production Line Integration
Standalone use: local touch screen; integration into an automated production line: confirm the IO and communication interfaces, supporting connection to MES/PLC.
8. On-Site Working Environment
In dusty workshops, consider dust protection for guide rails and chains; in humid or corrosive environments, apply anti-corrosion painting to the steel structure; for food and pharmaceutical applications, consider stainless steel parts.
9. Consumables and After-Sales
Chains, sliders, brake pads and limit switches are consumable parts; confirm the supply channel for spare parts.
